The First Aid Technician position requires a nursing student or first aid technician. They are responsible for all medical treatment of campers and staff. They also teach skills that encourage a healthy lifestyle as well as run health workshops and special programming to ensure campers are learning skills.
Responsibilities:

All medically related problems
Assessing ALL injuries and treatment of minor injuries

Administering all medications to campers and keeping clear up to date records on a daily basis

Completion of Accident Reports

Informing parents of children seen in the Health Centre or sent to the hospital

Keeping track of campers seen with lice and doing a follow up

Ensuring the Health Centre confidentiality policy is respected at all times

Ensuring the safe storage of all medication (to be locked at all times).
- Stocking and replenishments of all first aid kits, cabin kits, and rover packs in conformity with the “Reglement sur les normes minimales de premiers soins et de premiers secures”
- On call 24 hours/day for emergencies
- Maintaining cleanliness of the Health Centre including the floor as well as washing, towels and sheets for the Health Centre.
- Responsible for organizing and running effective Health Awareness workshop with campers minimally once a session. As well as organizing a workshop for the LIT program with the LIT Coordinator.
Requirements:
18 yrs old+
Enrolled in a nursing program
First Aid and CPR Certification
Assets:
Experience working as a nurse
Nursing Degree
