The First Aid Technician position requires a nursing student or first aid technician. They are responsible for all medical treatment of campers and staff. They also teach skills that encourage a healthy lifestyle as well as run health workshops and special programming to ensure campers are learning skills.

Responsibilities:

• All medically related problems
  Assessing ALL injuries and treatment of minor injuries
• Administering all medications to campers and keeping clear up to date records on a daily basis
• Completion of Accident Reports
• Informing parents of children seen in the Health Centre or sent to the hospital
• Keeping track of campers seen with lice and doing a follow up
• Ensuring the Health Centre confidentiality policy is respected at all times
• Ensuring the safe storage of all medication (to be locked at all times).
• Stocking and replenishments of all first aid kits, cabin kits, and rover packs in conformity with the “Reglement sur les normes minimales de premiers soins et de premiers secures”
• On call 24 hours/day for emergencies
• Maintaining cleanliness of the Health Centre including the floor as well as washing, towels and sheets for the Health Centre.
• Responsible for organizing and running effective Health Awareness workshop with campers minimally once a session. As well as organizing a workshop for the LIT program with the LIT Coordinator.

Requirements:

18 yrs old+

Enrolled in a nursing program

First Aid and CPR Certification
